
Penn State basketball couldn't edge Rutgers despite a 24-point outburst from Shep Garner in the Bryce Jordan Center.

Luckily for the Nittany Lions, college hockey is a game of series. Penn State fell 5-1 to Minnesota at Mariucci tonight.

"The guys, when it's really evident, that play for the team and don't talk about it, just go and do it -- those are the guys I follow," head coach Guy Gadowsky said.

Buckeyes' star Kelsey Mitchell scored 23 points en route to helping the team grab its sixth-straight win 87-72.

With an 11-1 home record but a 2-5 road record, Penn State has a plan to bring its success at the Bryce Jordan Center with it during a crucial two-game road stretch.
