Fraser Centre Construction Could Begin in November, Major Hotel Chain Added to Project

Construction on the long-awaited Fraser Centre could begin as soon as November and a national hotel chain has been added to the project. That's what Jack Kay, president and CEO of Susquehanna Real Estate, told the State College Borough Council at a Monday night work session. Once work begins the Fraser Centre would be completed within 22 months.

Du-oh no! Duo Nightclub in Legal Trouble

Duo Nightclub, located at 129 Pugh St., is in legal trouble and has been served an eviction notice for failure to pay back rent according to court documents plastered on the troubled night spot's door. A judgement has been entered against Parag Parikh and P&P at PSU, LCC for $12,000 in back rent, and Duo will be evicted on May 20 if not paid.

Kyle Chase Johnson Painted on Inspiration Mural

A week after 2012 Penn State graduate Kyle Chase Johnson tragically died while running the Pittsburgh half marathon, local muralist Michael Pilato painted his likeness on the Heister Street mural, a fitting tribute for a man who, by all accounts, was a quintessential Penn Stater.
