Quarterback Christian Hackenberg and wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton are both candidates for the Maxwell Award for the National Player of the Year, while defensive tackle Anthony Zettel is a nominee for the Bednarik Award for the National Defensive Player of the Year.

Christian Hackenberg returns to the place that cemented his status as an elite blue-chip quarterback recruit, except this time, he'll be instructing rather than competing.

James Franklin and his staff have been on a hot streak with recruiting recently, and it doesn't look like that trend will stop any time soon, as they just picked up a commitment from four-star defensive end Daniel Joseph, from Lake Forest, Illinois. Joseph is the class' second defensive end recruit, along with Shane Simmons, one of the classes first, and most touted recruits.

After a busy week for football, with recruits, student tickets, and more game time announcements, James Franklin gave fans even more to be excited about with a fantastic hype video.
