
The Penn State Football team that takes the field this coming Saturday against Ohio will look much different than the squad that walked off the field in Dallas on January 2nd after losing to Houston 30-14. While familiar faces like Matt McGloin, Michael Zordich, and Michael Mauti remain, there will be many former backups thrust into starting roles and some young players asked to contribute right away.

Penn State has created mobile site called Penn State Game Day, only available to fans in Beaver Stadium on Saturdays. In addition to game statistics, the site will also feature video replays and mobile food ordering through the use of a bypass lane.

Earlier this month, ESPN launched its College Colors Day contest. Whichever university garnered the most votes would win $10,000, which ESPN would donate to the school's scholarship fund. But now computer bots have compromised the contest.

As the season approaches, many Penn State fans are wondering if this year's offense will be better than last year's unit that often struggled. While improvement in terms of points is tough to predict, the unit should be better prepared and more organized.

One of Penn State's prized commitments for the 2013 football class had an interesting time when he opened the mailbox this afternoon.

Redshirt freshman Jared Fagnano, a 5'10" wide receiver from Akron, announced that he will be transferring to Penn State to join his brother Jake, redshirt senior and listed as the starting strong safety, in the first year of the O'Brien era.
