Penn State men's hockey continued its five-game unbeaten streak with a 4-2 victory over Canisius.
No. 10 Penn State (17-6, 9-3 Big Ten) dropped its third-straight conference match Saturday night on the road in Minneapolis (17-25, 20-25, 18-25).
Saquon Barkley put up a career-high 277 total yards and two touchdowns in No. 24 Penn State's emphatic 62-24 win. Joe Moorhead's offense was unstoppable in the second half.
"I don't want to say we're a second half team because we're trying to change that," Franklin said. "We've done a better job of that recently, but today it helped coming in telling the guys 'no worries, stick to the plan. We're a second half team. We're going to come out and make some adjustments.'"
James Franklin's newly-ranked Nittany Lions took the field in Ross-Ade Stadium searching for their third-straight bowl berth. They did just that in a 45-7 second half.
