
The updated policy vows to give Penn State students, faculty, and staff members the day off on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth.

“I want to bring people, plants, partnerships, and pollinators together with my passion for the art, science, and business of horticulture, and lead The Arboretum at Penn State to its brightest future,” Sclar said in a release.

"[Serving on the Board] is very important to me, and it's an honor because I love Penn State. But, it's also because I think I have and will continue to make a difference."
