
The first presidential debate of the 2015 UPUA election took place last night, with each ticket addressing a slew of issues at the forefront. Ryan Belz, Hamsa Fayed, Emily McDonald, and Shannon Rafferty sat in front of their peers, accompanied by their respective running mates--Zach Longstreth, Dylan Sundy, Terry Ford, and Gokul Sundar. The mood felt light, as each ticket seemed to agree with the other's plan, asking thorough questions with the hopes of gaining a better understanding of each ticket's plan going forward.

This weekend, two seniors gave Penn State its own big, fat Greek engagement. With the help of his friends, family and fraternity, Chris Burnside proposed to his girlfriend of 5 years, Priscilla Marsala, on Sunday at the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity house.

Bay Buchanan, a former United States treasurer under president Ronald Reagan, will be the featured speaker at a panel hosted by Young Americans for Freedom tonight at 7 p.m. in the HUB.

With election day just nine days away, UPUA's four executive tickets will have a debate and meet-and-greet tonight from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in 22 Deike Building.
