College of Communications students are the first to test out the newly redesigned eLion in a pilot program recently launched by Penn State. This new redesign is much more aesthetically pleasing, and should make even the pickiest eLion user happier.

I'm a firm believer in nonverbal communication. A relaxed head-nod or a strategically raised eyebrow can speak volumes to the recipient.
When we walk on campus or downtown, we unconsciously send messages about ourselves to everyone we pass. Some of these messages are personality-driven and some are alcohol-infused. Either way, it's fun to make assumptions.

There are roughly 44,000 students on this campus and we have two legitimate gyms to pick from: Rec Hall and the White Building. Rec Hall’s maximum occupancy is 240, the White Building is 210. Essentially if for every 100 people at Penn State, one goes to the gym at a certain time, both facilities would be at capacity at that time. That just isn’t enough space. It’s been several months since the first tents sprang up in Zuccotti Park, but the anti-corporate Occupy Wall Street movement isn't far from anyone’s radar. The first Comm GRAD forum of the semester revolves around Occupy Wall Street and will be held on Tuesday, January 31st, in the Warring Commons West Study Lounge, from 12-1:15 pm.

On Monday night, the Interfraternity Council announced their ban on fraternities hosting State Patty's Day parties. The IFC is hoping for a sober Penn State on February 25th, and instead plans to involve students in a (sober) "philanthropic event" in the downtown area.
