Can significant days in Penn State's academic calendar just be normal? The first day of Thanksgiving break brought the unfortunate news that Joe Paterno had lung cancer. The beginning of winter break coincided with a post-practice fight between Matt McGloin and Curtis Drake which left McGloin concussed. Now today, at the beginning of spring break, news broke that the sign for Paternoville outside Beaver Stadium was knocked down by a driver and stolen.

More Chances To See “The Joe We Know” Film

Over a week ago, Onward State broke the story about "The Joe We Know", a film exploring Joe Paterno's Grand Experiment featuring over seventy former Penn State Lettermen was set to premiere in the State Theatre last weekend. Starting today and continuing through next Wednesday, there will be twelve more opportunities to view the film.

At the beginning of the final four hours of THON 2012, Jay Paterno took the stage, greeted with a roaring ovation by the capacity Bryce Jordan Center crowd. He offered some words of encouragement for the dancers, who have been sleepless since Friday afternoon.

The Joe We Know, a film exploring the vast impact Joe Paterno's Grand Experiment as told by more than 70 Penn State Lettermen will premiere publicly this Sunday with 1 and 4:30 p.m. showing at the State Theatre.

Joe Paterno’s Final Resting Place

The public displays of mourning have come to an end. The items around the statue have been removed, the ceremonies are over, and Joe Paterno has reached his final resting place. Along with the statue, this is a location where Penn Staters will go for generations to pay respect to a man who has done so much for us all.
