#MusicMonday: Summertime Pandora Stations

Music goes with summer like Corona goes with lime, but you don’t always have the right playlist to accent the smell of chlorine and golden sunshine. If you’re go-to DJ is Pandora Radio, here are some #MusicMonday suggestions to help you dial in to the best stations to keep the summer spirit high and the body temperature low.

Summer Hits of the ’90s Radio –
With the nostalgia only the ’90s can foster, jam to artists like Counting Crows, Barenaked Ladies, Sugar Ray and Third Eye Blind while remembering how much cooler Hey Arnold was than iCarley.

Slightly Stoopid Radio –
With quintessential reggae attitude, chill with the tune of artists like Sublime, The Expendables and Bob Marley plus assorted obscure ska bands and that Red Red Wine song.

Led Zeppelin Radio –
Get the Dazed and Confused (the movie not the song) edge with artists like Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Creedence Clearwater Revival to re-kindle the classic rock spirit that died with feathered bangs.

Passion Pit Radio –
Electro-pop goes perfectly pool side. Soak up the sun-rays and synthesized sound-wave with artists like Phoenix, M83, MGMT, and Matt & Kim.

Journey Radio –
Ideal for cheesey sing-alongs, “Don’t Stop Believing” in the power of the power ballad with artists like Boston, Bon Jovi, REO Speedwagon, Styx, and Foreigner.

Blink 182 Radio –
Pay homage to that time when you were a kid and you thought you might be able to skateboard because you’ve been religiously playing Tony Hawk with ’90s punk artists like Sum 41, Weezer, Lit, Jimmy Eat World, and The Offspring.

Avicii Radio –
Show up the fire flies with glow sticks and this electronic station that dances around the dance genres like house, dubstep, trance and classic techno with artists ranging from Ellie Goulding and Skrillex to Benny Benassi and Swedish House Mafia.

Iron & Wine Radio –
This station is one to dial in for candle lit dinner’s with your summer love. With artists like Sufjan Stevens, The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, City and Colour, Andrew Bird, and Bon Iver; these indie slow jams are sure to set the mood.

John Mayer Radio –
When you just want to dedicate a song to your best bro, tune into John Mayer radio and let the Jason Mraz, Gavin DeGras, Jack Johnson, and Maroon 5 consummate your bromance.

Hip Hop Road Trip Radio –
Keep it real with the hip hop songs that you can’t help but sloppily rap along with with artists like Notorious B.I.G., Nelly, Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, Kanye West before he was an asshole, and Eminem when bleach blonde hair and visors were cool.

Country BBQ Radio
Accent the sound of meat sizzling on the grill with good old fashion country artists like Tim McGraw, Zac Brown Band, Dierks Bentley, Jake Owen, and every once and a while a Bruce Springsteen song to break up the twangy love songs dedicated to John Deer.
