Nick Dawkins Named To Allstate AFCA Good Works Team

Penn State football center Nick Dawkins was named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team Tuesday morning, along with 10 other FBS players.

Dawkins is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree along with being Penn State’s 2023 Public Service Award Winner. He also founded the Dawkins Family Foundation to champion academic and athletic excellence for young students.

Dawkins works closely with the YMCA of Centre County, creating summer sports camps for kids. At Penn State, he leads Uplifting Athletics in raising funds for rare disease research.

Dawkins landed on the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy watch list earlier this season.

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team honors student-athletes who are inspired to serve others and make a positive impact on society. The team names 22 student-athletes and one honorary head coach for exemplary community service. All members were selected by a voting panel of former Allstate AFCA Good Works Team members, current and former head coaches, and journalists who look for exceptional leadership on and off the football field.

Voting is open until November 15 for the 2024 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy recipient, who will also be named the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team captain.
