0 Graduate Student Group Calls For Unionization

The CGE will host a luncheon in front of Old Main on Labor Day from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to announce the campaign for unionization. According to the Facebook event, members of the CGE spent the summer talking to fellow grad students about the possibility of a union and they hope to answer questions and further the discussion at the event.

0 Penn State To Launch Sexual Assault Climate Survey To Students

As part of the Penn State’s ongoing initiative to combat sexual violence, the university will be launching a climate survey to better understand students’ views, experience, and knowledge of resources available to them regarding sexual assault and sexual harassment. The hope is that the survey results will yield insight into certain areas — such as the prevalence of sexual violence, and whether or not alcohol plays a role.

0 HUB Lawn Restored, Set To Reopen For Public Access In The Fall

Since construction wrapped up earlier this year, the HUB lawn is in the beginning stages of returning to its former glory. The brown dirt formerly infested with construction equipment is now littered with grass seed, meaning it should be completely restored by the time classes resume in the fall. incoming freshmen, sophomores, and juniors — like myself — will now be able to experience the HUB Lawn and all that it entails, instead of passing by a giant, fenced eyesore en route to class.
