SOMA to Hold First Event

Tonight from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Students for the Organization of the Multiple Arts (SOMA) will hold their first event, an open mic night in the Waring Study Lounge at West Commons.

The event staff is “hoping to see everything from Lauryn Hill-style to Fiona Apple to Iron and Wine,” said Nick Weingartner, a senior in charge of SOMA’s media relations.

This is the first event SOMA has held this semester, but this open mic night isn’t the last. SOMA is known for putting both small and large concerts together, as well as other arts events.

So whether you’re on campus and bored, or you’re off campus and need a good music fix, check out the open mic night. Better yet, perform at the open mic night.
