The Gamers Arena at 421 E. Calder Way has already carved itself a niche into students' everyday lives with events held weekly for gamers of all kinds. Since its opening, the store has seen a few release parties as well as plenty of tournaments.
Seven Penn State alumni were selected to receive Distinguished Alumni Awards, the highest award given by the university. In an unfortunate surprise, I did not make the cut this year, but check out who did after the jump.
University Park was met with ice/sleet/hail/freezing rain overnight (I'm not a meteorologist, talk to Dan Vecellio about specifics). Penn State Human Resource Development Center (HRDC), along with University Police and the Penn State Risk Management Office, has created a one-hour-long program that provides people with instructions and options in case an active shooter was to ever open fire on campus.
According to a report from Forbes that came out Monday, Penn State created the most revenue through its football program than any other team in the Big Ten this past season. What may be more impressive is that the Nittany Lions trailed only Georgia and Alabama in revenues and profits when the Big Ten and Southeastern Conference were compared to each other.
