TEDxPSU released three more speakers for the main event on November 13th 2011. Two of the speakers hold positions as Penn State professors and the third has extensive work in the private sector.

Students gathered at Eisenhower Auditorium last night to attend the For the Glory Talent Show, hosted by the 2011 Penn State Homecoming Student Court. In a night filled with music, dancing, and laughter, individuals from various student organizations took to the stage to showcase their talents.

It's a difficult economic time right now, to be sure, but it seems that higher education has had to bear more than its fair share as government looks to downsize its spending. Just months after state appropriations to universities suffered a major cut, a newly implemented regulation threatens to halt federal loans to students who require financial aid in order to pay for their college education. And if this news is a surprise to you, you're not alone. It came as a shock even to CCSG President Peter Khoury, who hadn't been aware of the new policy until last month's Faculty Senate meeting. But since then, he's become painfully aware of how many students might be affected by the change.

TEDxPSU announces three more of the November 13 main event speakers. Each individual has led innovative efforts in their respective fields of education, childhood development, and waste transformation.

Ah, yes, autumn is quickly falling upon us, and with the change in season comes Homecoming Weekend. Every year it is Penn State tradition to Guard the Lion Shrine.
