Forecast Not So Good: Board of Trustees Possibly in Violation of Sunshine Act

When one gets over the hilarious fact that there is such a law titled The Sunshine Act, this is a relatively serious piece of news. The Pennsylvania version of said law requires public bodies to announce meetings to the public twenty four hours before they occur in order prevent secret meetings.

An Interesting “Conversation about Controversy”

Last night, the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism hosted “A Conversation about Covering Controversy.” A panel of esteemed journalists, moderated by Malcolm Moran, answered several questions from students regarding November’s events. The panel consisted of Mark Viera of The New York Times, Sara Ganim of the Harrisburg Patriot-News, Jerry Micco of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Christine Brennan of USA Today, and Jeremy Schaap from ESPN and ABC.

Yesterday, (curiously) around the same time as Ohio State’s press conference to announce Urban Meyer as their new head coach, Penn State released the news that a committee will search for their next head football coach.
