Top 10 University Personalities: The Sequel

You, the readers, have spoken and we here at Onward State heard your suggestions. You all made it perfectly clear that Penn State has more than just ten personalities we all find endearing. So here is the sequel to the Top 10 University Personalities:

10. The Birthday Boy/Girl Who Gets Thrown Out of the Phyrst on Their 21st

Odds are we all know someone who was thrown out of the Phyrst on their 21st birthday (maybe it happened to you). It was worth it though for all of those laughs, overpriced drinks, and that plastic green hat.

9.  The Kid Who Gets Extremely High Before Class

Some people can’t sit through an hour and fifteen minutes worth of lecture without a little help from Mary Jane. Ah yes, the college lifestyle.

8. The “Happy Thursday” People

Isn’t it just great when there are multiple people wishing you a “happy Thursday”? What better way to kick off the weekend then with some kind words from some fellow Penn Staters.

7. Unicycle Guy

I’m always impressed when I see this guy. I know very little about unicycles, but they look uncomfortable and there’s a good chance I wouldn’t get very far on one.

6. The CATA Bus Drivers

Most of us see them everyday. The Blue and White Loop drivers get it the worst. They have to put up with some pretty drunk and obnoxious riders. At least shout them a “thank you” before you trip out the door.

5.The Drum Major

Flip. Split. (The crowd goes wild).

4. Sam Richards

Sam Richards teaches Soc 119, which is Race and Ethnic Relations. You know you’re a decent educator when people actually advise their friends to take your class.

3. Jay Paterno

Aside from being a coach for the Nittany Lions for 17 seasons, Mr. Paterno has also been a gracious and well-spoken representative for his family throughout the past couple of months. If I was wearing a hat, it would be off to him.

2. Mike The Mailman

This guy actually makes me want to use mail as my primary source of communication simply because he’s so nice. Next time you need to mail something make sure you bring Mike some cookies as well.

1. SuePa

We all know her as Joe Paterno’s wife, but SuePa is just as much of a university personality as her late husband. Thanks for everything Mrs. Paterno.

There you have it. Ten more of PSU’s finest and well-known.
