Blue Band Featured in New iPhone Game

Penn State senior Max Besong recently developed Fight on State, an iPhone app featuring the Penn State Blue Band that was released today. The premise of the game is help the drum major land his signature pregame flip.  There’s one catch, though — the football team is still on the field, and charging towards the drum major at an alarming rate!

According to those who worked on the project, it’s the first app to feature a collegiate marching band. In a bonus round section, players can help the feature twirler throw his baton for extra points.

The app is free, but people who download the game will be encouraged to donate to THON and credit the Penn State Blue Band. Stay up to date on the game’s Facebook page or by following it on Twitter (@FOSGame).

So channel your inner Ian Kenney and Matt Freeman, and try to set the high score. Below is the trailer for the app, which can be downloaded in the iTunes App Store for the first time today.
