Senator Bob Casey To Visit State College Tomorrow

Tomorrow morning, U.S Senator Bob Casey Jr. will make an appearance at the Corner Room where he will meet with supporters and the public. Casey is set to arrive at 11 a.m.

Senator Casey has served in the Senate since 2006 after unseating incumbent Rick Santorum and is currently running for reelection against Tom Smith, a Republican from Armstrong County and founder of a Tea Party group called the Indiana and Armstrong Patriots. Prior to entering politics this year, Smith worked for decades as a coal miner and later as the owner of a successful coal mining business.

Casey, the former Pennsylvania Auditor General, currently serves as the Chairman of the Joint Economic Committee.

Some of you who have been around may remember Casey campaigning at Old Main with then Senator Barack Obama in 2008.
