Presidential Straw Poll For PSU Students Launched

PSU Votes, a university initiative dedicated to everything relating to the election, has posted a presidential election straw poll open only to Penn State students. The poll requires a Penn State WebAccess account in order vote and each student is only permitted one vote each.

As of last night, incumbent Barack Obama had an edge in the straw poll, leading challenger Mitt Romney by a margin of 70 to 57. The poll will remain open until midnight on November 5th, the night before Election Day. Voting in the poll automatically enters you into the running for a $100 Amazon gift card.

After the completion of the poll, there is an optional election-related questionnaire to help PSU Votes obtain more in-depth information about how Penn State students made their decision on which candidate to vote for.

Election season is reaching a climax with just under a week remaining until the big day is here. The PSU Votes straw poll comes in conjunction with student political organizations ramping up last-ditch efforts to get out the vote in the final days before we find out at last who the next Leader of the Free World will be for the next four years.
