“Why We Dance” Documentary to Air on Big Ten Network

If you missed out on the original showing of the “Why We Dance: The Story of THON,” you’ll have another opportunity this week to see it.

Tuesday night at 10 p.m., the Big Ten Network will be airing the film that highlights last year’s event as well as the efforts from organizations like Club Croquet. In addition, it tells the stories of a few families that benefit from the Four Diamonds Fund.

The documentary originally aired last September and was used as a fundraiser by PBS. For each DVD of the film sold, Penn State Public Broadcasting donated $5 to THON and, in total, made $5,030. It will count towards THON 2013 total.

The Big Ten Network reaches 73 million homes across the country and airs over 350 sporting events yearly. It covers both men’s and women’s sports around the Big Ten Conference as well as different fundraisers that the conference’s schools participate in through their LiveB1G program.

Be sure to tune in on Tuesday night at 10 p.m. for the hour-long documentary in preparation for THON weekend.
