Update From Our Dancer: Hour Zero

For the third year in a row, Onward State is lucky enough to have a staff member dancing in THON. Dancing for the Association of Residence Hall Students (ARHS), junior Ali Fogarty will be providing updates from the floor as she embarks on her 46-hour THON journey.

“This is all just surreal. I can’t believe I’m actually here,” Fogarty said as she entered the BJC.

Like most dancers, Fogarty has been preparing for weeks since she found out she would be dancing in THON 2013. Between eating healthier, a strict exercise regime, and the support of dozens of friends, Fogarty is ready to go.

“I don’t believe this is actually about to happen,” she said.

We’ll be keeping up with Ali periodically throughout the weekend. And let’s face it — dancer quotes after hour 40 can get pretty funny.
