Larger Than Life: Fat Heads at THON

THON 2013 is well underway and crowds (and I mean CROWDS) of people are filling the BJC to show their support for the devoted dancers. Letter cutouts are a staple necessity, but holding up fat heads of dancers and celebs is a popular trend seen this year among those standing in the stands. If you’re as illiterate as me when it comes to reading Greek symbols, these fat heads are HEROES to find your organization this weekend.

Here are some of the fat heads in attendance this year at THON 2013:

Zeta Psi THON

Zeta Psi chose to have none other than Dwight from The Office join them in their section!

 Nick Cage THON

And of course, THON 2013 wouldn’t be complete without an appearance by Nicholas Cage. This one’s my personal favorite. Good work to the brothers of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity!

With the magnificence of these fat heads, I can only hope that one day there will be 710 fat heads smiling down on the floor. A bit much? Never.

You’re Not Embarrassing, You’re Just Fun: Yuka Narisako’s Senior Column

I’ve spent the last five years at Penn State, not because I failed a handful of classes, but because I chose my major somewhat blindly not realizing it was a five year program until after I submitted my application. Five years later, I’m about to get a bachelor’s, a master’s, and a minor over the course of one weekend.
