Kendrick Lamar to Play at the Bryce Jordan Center

B94.5 has just announced this morning that hip-hop artist, Kendrick Lamar (@KendrickLamar), will be taking the Bryce Jordan Center on Monday, April 22. Tickets will go on sale this Wednesday at 10 a.m. According to Director of Sales & Marketing Bernie Punt, tickets will be just $14.50 for students.

This California-based rapper has been on the hip-hop scene since the early 2000’s, but has recently gained notoriety from his single “Swimming Pools (Drank)” which became a Billboard Top 20 Hit. Now the artist has two studio albums, an EP, and five mixtapes, as well as appearances on other albums by rappers like Kid Cudi, 50 cent, and LL Cool J.

This is not Kendrick Lamar’s first appearance at the BJC. He was also an opening act when Drake came to town in the fall of 2011 with A$AP Rocky. Let’s hope that his first headlining show in Happy Valley is one to remember.
