
Former Penn State All-American offensive and defensive end Dave Robinson was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend, the sixth Penn Stater to ever attain that status. Robinson, a 1962 All-American for Rip Engle's Nittany Lions, was a three-year letterwinner at Penn State. Joe Paterno was also an assistant coach that year. Robinson was drafted in the first round (14th overall) in the 1963 NFL draft and enjoyed a 12-year career as a linebacker for the Packers and the Redskins.

In just 11 days, a record 710 participants will dance in THON 2013 -- two more than the usual 708 due to an inconsistency in the rulebook and the dancer registration packet. Traditionally, 708 lucky dancers are selected every year to stand for the 46-hours on the Bryce Jordan Center floor. That number -- along with multiple THON volunteers, friends, Four Diamonds children, and media -- is a number THON has determined to be the safest given capacity limits.
