College Republicans to Commemorate 12th Anniversary of 9/11

It’s been 12 years since the tragic terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 that killed nearly 3,000 people, including ten Penn State alumni. To commemorate the anniversary of that fateful day, the College Republicans will host its fourth annual memorial service on Old Main patio this Wednesday.

The non-partisian service, which is scheduled to begin promptly at 12 p.m., seeks to honor the fallen through a day of reflection and solemn remembrance for the country.

Students, faculty, staff, and community members are welcome to gather together for the service.

This year’s guest speaker will be state Rep. Kerry Benninghoff, who also spoke at last year’s event. Benninghoff will give a reflective address to those in attendance.

For any questions about the service, contact John Wortman at [email protected].
