Hackenberg Named B1G Freshman of the Week for Second Time

Quarterback Christian Hackenberg was named B1G Freshman of the Week for the second time this season today, after receiving the honor after the Syracuse game.

Despite the loss that can be attributed to the defese, Hackenberg completed 21 of 28 of his passes for 262 yards. He had a touchdown to Allen Robinson in the fourth quarter as well as two long completions to Robinson for 44 and 46 yards, along with no interceptions.

Hackenberg leads the Big Ten with 22 completions per game and has the third most passing yards per game with over 283.7 yards.

So far this season, Hackenberg is 66 of 92 for 851 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions.

Kent State has allowed 270 passing yards per game as well as 32 points per game. With those statistics, we could see another good game from Hackenberg this Saturday against the Golden Flashes.
