Suspicious Fire Destroys Shed at AGR

State College Police are calling an early morning fire outside a Penn State fraternity house “suspicious.”

The fire ripped through a storage shed at Alpha Gamma Rho which is located at 322 Fraternity Row.

The blaze was reported to police last Friday at 4:10 a.m. The storage shed is located in the rear of the fraternity’s property.

Police say a chair had been placed next to the shed and “the seat cushion is the suspected ignition point.” The shed and everything stored inside was a total loss.

A fraternity member reportedly saw three college-age men near the shed just before the fire broke out.

If you have information about the fire, please contact State College Police Detective Bosak at 814-234-7150.
