36-Hour HackPSU to Return in April

HackPSU, Penn State's hackathon, will return again on April 4, 2014. Hosted by entrepreneurship accelerator Innoblue and the College of IST, HackPSU will last 36 hours this year in comparison to both of last year's hackathons which each lasted 24 hours. The entrepreneurship competition will fittingly take place during IST Startup Week.

Weekend Sports Roundup: Penn State Teams Go 6-2

Eight Penn State teams competed over the weekend and went a combined 9-2. Women’s soccer and field hockey ended their regular seasons while men’s basketball began its own.

Taylor Gets Major Decision At NWCA All-Star Classic

Nationally top-ranked Nittany Lion wrestler David Taylor and No. 3 Matt Brown represented Penn State well at Saturday's NWCA All-Star Classic at George Mason University. Taylor defeated No. 3 Michael Moreno of Iowa State in a 13-2 major decision in the 165 bout while Brown lost a tightly contested 4-3 decision to No. 2 Andrew Howe of Oklahoma in the 174 bout.

Matt McGloin Leads Raiders Touchdown Drive In NFL Debut

Matt McGloin has gone from receiving no Division I scholarship offers to playing in an NFL game. McGloin saw his first playing time as a member of the Oakland Raiders today when starting quarterback Terrelle Pryor went down with an injury late in the game. The Raiders were blown out by the Eagles, but McGloin was solid in his first action as a professional football player.

Women’s Volleyball Wins Both Matches in Michigan This Weekend

No. 2 Penn State women's volleyball defeated the No. 17 Michigan Wolverines and the No. 14 Michigan State Spartans this weekend.
