THON Hoops Game Set for Sunday

With THON only 25 days away, many organizations are hosting some last minute fundraisers to raise money For The Kids. Nittany Nation and Penn State basketball are doing their part this Sunday, February 2 at 11:30 a.m. when they host their 8th annual THON game against Purdue.

Student tickets are only $5, and all proceeds from student ticket sales will go directly to THON. Tickets will be sold in the HUB during the week, and also at the door. There will also be many Four Diamonds families in attendance and different THON-related promotions and activites will be performed throughout the game.

This game should prove to be a good test for an underachieving Penn State team. Purdue averages 74.3 points per game, and is one of the best rebounding teams in the country, averaging 40.1 per game. Penn State is coming off its first Big Ten win of the year, and will be looking to build momentum going into the heart of the conference schedule.

There will be an autograph session after the game, and panoramic pictures will be given out to fans at the door. So come get your picture taken with Tim Frazier and the team, all FTK!
