What THON Means to THON Families

With THON only 2 days away, volunteers are in overdrive working out the final details of THON weekend and hoping to raise more funds to add to the total that will be revealed during the culmination of a years worth of work. In order to give the THON community some motivation in the final stretch, we reached out to some Four Diamonds families to ask them what THON means to them. Here are their responses:

Rashid Williams is a 26 year-old NFL hopeful from Penn State, though you've never heard his name in Beaver Stadium. Williams didn't play football during his time at Penn State. In fact, he hasn't played football since high school almost ten years ago.

Delta Kappa Epsilon Under Suspension, Loses THON Dancers

The Interfraternity Council has suspended Delta Kappa Epsilon for an undisclosed amount of time, causing the fraternity to lose its THON dancers. The fraternity is no longer listed on the clubs.psu.edu website and cannot hold official functions. Onward State could not confirm the reason behind the suspension, but IFC President Dan Combs confirmed the fraternity's situation.

CATA Graveyard Shifts, As Told by the Bus Drivers

But the real action happens every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday between midnight and 4 a.m., and despite not being willing to give their names, the CATA bus drivers left no details out in describing their rowdy after-dark shifts.
