Police Investigating Assault at Sigma Tau Gamma

State College police are investigating an assault that occurred at Sigma Tau Gamma on July 18 that resulted in significant head trauma to the victim, according to a press release.

A 19-year old male resident of the fraternity, located at 500 S. Allen St., asked a group of people to leave the property when, at some point between midnight and 1:57 a.m., an unknown male from the group reportedly punched him in the face and knocked him to the ground. The victim was then transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center and transferred to Hershey Medical Center.

Police are asking for any information from witnesses of either the group in general or the assault itself. Anyone with details can call 814-234-7150 or submit an anonymous tip online.
