Nittany Lion Answers The #IceBucketChallenge

The #IceBucketChallenge to raise ALS awareness has effectively swept the nation, in case you’ve been living under a really gigantic rock or something. Now, the latest person to be challenged is someone we all know and love: The Nittany Lion.

A pair of 2014 football opponents’ mascots, Knightro (UCF) and the Minuteman (UMass), recently named the Lion as one of their challengers, as you can see below.

This morning, the pair of mascots got their wish, even though the Lion is on vacation:

The #IceBucketChallenge began with the premise that you’d either have to dump the water all over yourself within 24 hours of being challenged or donate $100 to ALS charities. Since, it’s been enveloped by debate about whether the challenge is a good thing or merely a chance for social media users to feel good about themselves without actually donating. But since the Lion doesn’t have any human currency to give, I think everyone can appreciate him just dumping the water.
