Five Guys Now Open Until 2 a.m. on Football Weekends

The State College late night food scene just added another resident — at least for six more weekends in 2014. After ending the policy last year, downtown’s Five Guys will once again stay open until 2 a.m. on home football weekends.

The new hours first took effect when Akron was here, and now when UMass, Northwestern, Ohio State, Maryland, Temple, and Michigan State are in town, Five Guys will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

That’ll make the beloved tradition of drunkenly hunting for food much easier for the West College crowd.

“[The customers] know what they’re coming here for,” said shift supervisor Louis Lopez. “[We] like being part of a company that makes someone that excited.” Lopez also noted that the atmosphere at Five Guys during the Akron game was as friendly as he’d ever seen.

So next time there’s a football game in Happy Valley and you find yourself hungrily stumbling around downtown, Five Guys provides another option for all of you West College residents. Eat responsibly.
