Welcome To The New-Look Onward State

Onward State, meet 2014.

After a long selection process, sleepless nights for our programmers, and hundreds of emails, we gave ourselves a belated birthday present, and we’re very excited to present to you the new-look Onward State. If you came straight to this post from social media, please, stop listening to me and take a look around.

Don’t worry, we’ll still bring you the same content you’ve come to know over the years. All 11,685 of our posts are still here, we just hope you agree that this new design will make them look much better.

Our new layout gives us the opportunity to use cool new features with our posts, which you’ll see used throughout the rest of the 2014-15 year. Many of the small glitches you may have noticed in the last few weeks, such as broken links or social media widgets, are now fixed as well — they were result of switching everything over to the new site.

That said, we’ll still go through some growing pains in the early going with the new site, so please bear with us while we get everything working perfectly (for instance, all of our writers don’t all look like silhouettes in front of gray backgrounds, I promise). We’ll have everything up to snuff as soon as we can.

Thanks for following along through all of our site designs over the years. We’re ready to keep bringing you the news and look better doing it.
