Penn State athletics lost just shy of $6 million during 2012-13 per a financial report released Friday (the press release cleverly referred to it as "expenses exceeding revenues" instead of a loss, of course).

An NCAA Championship re-match, three bouts with both wrestlers in the Top 10, and three consecutive matches with bonus points against No. 5 Oklahoma State made for an exciting match for the Nittany Lions in Rec Hall, as Penn State closes up its regular season schedule.

The No. 11 Penn State Lady Lions used a late run to secure a 78-68 victory over Wisconsin in front of the sixth largest crown for a women's game in Bryce Jordan Center history for the eighth annual Pink Zone game.

Penn State's student-athletes were at their best this weekend as many of the school's teams picked up big wins. The wrestling team headlined the weekend's events with a big match win over a nationally ranked opponent, the Lady Lions won in front of 12,000 pink-clad fans, and the men's tennis team matched the best start in school history.

Despite outshooting the Spartans 29-13, the Nittany Lions were unable to capitalize on multiple scoring chances and ended up dropping the game 2-1. The Nittany Lions fall to 5-19-2 on the year.

Penn State was unable to pull out a win vs. the #16 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes in what was a poor three point shooting effort from the Nittany Lions. Iowa was able to take advantage of this by letting shots fly from deep, pulling them ahead for good.
