We’re Looking for the Best Winter Picture of Penn State

Attention all photographers in State College: Eternal winter is in full force, which usually means cold walks, plenty of snow, and stunning snowy photos of our beautiful campus. If you’re walking around town, passing Beaver Stadium, or admiring a particularly picturesque lion, snap a photo and send it into us.

Whether you use your phone or a DSLR camera, the best picture will be posted on our Instagram account — with credit, obviously. We’ll also put together a post with our favorites.

After you snap the photo, email it to [email protected] with your name, the location, the time you took the picture, and a caption that you think best describes it. The winner will be notified via e-mail, along with what time the picture will be posted so you can keep an eye out.

Now, we have dozens of photos of Old Main, the Corner Room, and the lion in the snow. This is not to say that pictures of these iconic locations aren’t to be taken, but the best pictures will likely be unique, creative, and able to really capture a story. The idea is to think outside the box and send us something different.

The best picture will be reviewed by our photography staff and posted this week. With that said, get out in the cold and start snapping away!
