Student Whiteout Declared For Rutgers Football Game

When Rutgers comes into Happy Valley for the first time in more than 20 years, the team will be greeted by one of the best sights in college football.

A student whiteout has been declared for the primetime game on Sept. 19, as Nittanyville is asking all 21,000 students to join together and white out the Scarlet Knights. This is in addition to the full-stadium Whiteout, which will take place against Michigan on Nov. 21.

This will be Rutgers’ first trip to State College since 1994, when the Nittany Lions whipped the Knights 55-27 en route to an undefeated season. Penn State ruined Rutgers’ Big Ten debut in the most recent meeting between the two programs, as the team came away from Piscataway with a dramatic 13-10 win last season.

The Whiteout should add to what will already be an incredible atmosphere during the only 8 p.m. game in Beaver Stadium in 2015.
