Joe Paterno Beer Coming To State College Champs’ Taps This Weekend

It’s been a busy week for our favorite coach and his new beer.

According to Jay Paterno on Twitter, Duquesne Brewing Company’s Paterno Legacy beer has been put into kegs and cases, and you’ll only have to wait another week to get your hands on the new brew:

To make things even easier, the American Lager will be coming to a tap at the State College Champs on North Allen starting this weekend, just in time for hoards of students, parents, and staff members to flock back to State College for move-in and the start of the fall semester.

Champs, notorious for their large selection of beer on tap, will make accessing the Joe Paterno’s been even easier when it opens its doors on South Allen St., which could happen as soon as October if the restaurant’s liquor license is approved.

As for now, however, anxious Paterno fans and beer fanatics-alike should be happy the beer will be making its grand entrance by the keg, a plan originally saved for a successful debut…of which a Joe Paterno Legacy beer is sure to have in State College.
