We’d Like To Introduce You To The New Onward State App

Well folks, you’ve asked, and we’ve listened.

You’ve been enjoying our #hottakes for nearly seven years now, but the ease of a smartphone app has been absent from your phone screen. That’s why we’re excited to introduce to you our new smartphone app!

Okay we’ll be honest, we had an app before, but it was really just an internal browser for our site. With the new app, you’ll have all the features of our desktop site at your fingertips. When you open the app, our stories come up in chronological order, with the newest post listed at the top. You can also choose to recieve a notification whenever we publish a story.

Another feature of the app is that you can access any story in our archives using the search feature. Looking for news about something? Want to find an article to send to a friend? Simply type the keywords in the bar and relevant stories will come up, again, in chronological order. Also, when you find the post you’re looking for, you have all of the typical sharing options: message, email, Twitter, Facebook, copying the link, etc.

Additionally on the app you can find some site favorites, finally all in one place: bar specials and our online food ordering service. Feel free to thank us later.

The app is available now for both Apple and Android devices. Or, simply search “Onward State” in your device’s store and we’ll pop right up. As always, thanks for reading! We’re happy to be able to make reading our content as easy as possible for you.
