Johnny “Cupcakes” Earle To Speak At Downtown State Theatre

Founder of the clothing brand Johnny Cupcakes and entrepreneur Johnny “Cupcakes” Earle will speak at the downtown State Theatre on Tuesday, November 10 at 8 p.m. The lecture is a part of SPA’s Distinguished Speakers series and Penn State’s Global Entrepreneurship Week.

In 2001, Johnny Earle founded Johnny Cupcakes at age 19. Johnny Cupcakes is nicknamed the “world’s first t-shirt bakery,” and sells shirts, hoodies, and hats with the company’s signature cupcake and crossbones icon. Fourteen years since its inception, Earle’s t-shirt and clothing brand has grown into a multi-million dollar company.

Earle was named America’s #1 Young Entrepreneur by BusinessWeek in 2008. Similary, Inc. Magazine has named Johnny Cupcakes as one of the fastest growing independent companies in America for four years straight.
