Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting A Minor On E. Beaver Ave.

A Phillipsburg man was charged for sexually assaulting a minor on E. Beaver Ave. between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on August 19, according to The Daily Collegian.

Samuel Connor IV was painting an apartment on the 100 block of E. Beaver Ave. when security cameras captured footage of him speaking to a female before allegedly forcing her into the apartment and sexually assaulting her.

The female, who is a minor, reported to the police that she and Connor had a conversation on the sidewalk, during which he asked her to go upstairs and have sex with him. The documents state that after she repeatedly said no, Connor proceeded to grab her wrist and pull her into the building, despite her saying, “Let go, just let me go.” Likewise, the female also claims that she repeatedly told him to stop during the assault, saying things like “please don’t,” “no,” and “stop.”

Connor said that he sexually assaulted the female when he was interviewed by police. The charges against include sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, and indecent assault.

The Phillipsburg man was unable to post the $150,000 bail and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 25.
