Movin’ On Hosting Relaunch Party To Reveal Organization’s New Logo
Movin’ On, the free music festival held at the end of spring semester, is always a giant party. This year, however, the committee couldn’t wait until the spring to get that party started. That’s why Movin’ On is gearing up to have a smaller, less big-name party this week in the HUB to relaunch its new logo.
The party will be Thursday, December 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the bottom floor of the HUB. There will be free food and, of course, music. To celebrate the past festivals and the history of the event, throwback merchandise will be on sale throughout the event.
The organization’s redesigned official logo will be revealed at 12 p.m., and t-shirts with the new design will go on sale at that time as well.
According to the event, the party will not only reveal the new logo, but also celebrate the past and look toward the future of Movin’ On. The organization hasn’t announced who will perform at the 2016 show yet, but after landing co-headliners Big Sean and Passion Pit just last year, it surely won’t disappoint. To further its efforts in this endeavor, the $10,000 Movin’ On budget allocation from UPUA will go towards a “middle man” that will help the festival land the biggest names it can afford while remaining free for students.
