Send Us Your Best Dancer Mail

Dancer mail pushes those who stand 46 hours for the kids through the toughest hours of the weekend. The support systems surrounding dancers are crucial for a successful THON. That’s why we’re looking for the most inspirational, funny, and unique mail from THON 2016 to highlight the behind-the-scenes cast of people supporting the dancers.

Redshirt senior wide receiver Matt Zanellato finally danced in THON last weekend after two attempts. He garnered motivation to stand for the full 46 hours from the kids and their families, watching his team win the Pep Rally, and of course, his dancer mail.

His batch of encouraging words includes a message from eight-year-old Ana Sofia, his younger sister:

“She’s athletic as anything but spelling isn’t her strong suit,” Zanellato said. And at eight years old, is spelling anyone’s cup of tea? Zanellato said his sister takes after him in this aspect. Maybe she’ll be the first woman to dawn the Blue and White.

What she lacks in copy editing, she makes up for in heart. If you have any dancer mail you want to share, send the following to [email protected]:

  • Name
  • Organization you danced for
  • Photo(s) of your prized Dancer Mail
  • A short blurb about said Dancer Mail, your time at THON, or anything else you deem applicable.
