Penn Stater Matt Millen To Call Blue-White Game For BTN

Matt McGloin joined the Big Ten Network (BTN) broadcast last season for the 2015 Blue-White game, but this season, a different Penn Stater will be in the booth. Four-time Super Bowl Champion and former NFL executive Matt Millen will be on the call for the Nittany Lions’ final practice of the spring, joining play-by-play announcer Scott Graham and sideline reporter Brian Tripp.

Millen starred for the Nittany Lions in the late 1970s, earning All-American honors as a defensive tackle. He was then drafted in the second round of the 1980 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. Millen went on to play for the San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins, winning four Super Bowls in his 12-year career. After his days on the field were over, Millen became the President and CEO of the Detroit Lions, a position from which he was unceremoniously fired in the midst of the team’s infamous 0-16 2008 season.

The Blue-White game will be on tape-delay on BTN airing Saturday, April 19 at 7 p.m. If you’re not around or forget to DVR it, don’t worry — BTN has you covered. The game will be replayed on Sunday, April 17 at 10 p.m. and midnight, Monday, April 18 at 11:30 p.m., and Tuesday, April 19 at 4 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
