Let UPUA Drive You To The State College Airport

Those who are taking a flight home (or wherever else) at the end of the semester have enough to worry about. Between finals, packing, and booking your flight, just getting yourself to the airport is annoying — especially considering how much you’re already spending on the flight itself.

To alleviate some of these stresses, UPUA is offering a free shuttle to the State College Airport at the end of finals week for students catching a flight home.

The shuttle will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 5 and May 6 and Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to noon. The buses will depart every hour on the hour and the trip will take about 25 minutes, with loading, driving, and unloading all calculated in. The buses will stick strictly to the schedule to keep students from missing their flights.

Each student is allowed two checked and two carry-on bags to assure there is enough room for everyone. The shuttle will depart from the Pollock Road entrance of the HUB and students are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled shuttle.

If you’re interested in utilizing the free shuttle service, fill out this form by Friday, April 29 at 5 p.m. On the form, you are able to reserve a day and time to ride the shuttle. Those who sign up for a seat will receive an email a few days in advance with instructions and reminders. Students must be from University Park campus and have a valid Penn State ID. If you have any questions about the timing, what you can bring, or anything else regarding the shuttle, you can email UPUA Facilities Chair Brent Rice at [email protected].
