Halloween City Opens Up In Time For Halloweekend Preparations

Downtown State College is slowly catching the Halloween craze that takes over Penn State for the final week in October with a brand new Halloween costume outlet.

In years past, limited downtown costume store options led to a lot of repeat costumes. Gift Adventures, the small storefront on Beaver Avenue would change seasonally to accommodate the high costume and accessory demand, but quantity remained a constant issue for students in search of some new digs — despite the few Halloween supplies McLanahan’s sold.

But now, students will have plenty of options with Halloween City filling the vacant property previously occupied by Abercrombie. Tucked between Pickles and Panera on South Allen, Its location is even more convenient for those in a pinch.

The store’s website boasts an array of costume options ranging from pop culture references, super heroes, various sexy witches, sexy doctors, sexy jailbirds — pretty much sexy anything.

Costumes aren’t all that’ll be offered, though. The store’s home decor section will be stocked enough to help students transform their apartment/house/dorm into a scene straight out of Sleepy Hollow.

Halloween City is prepared for the seasonal rush, and that’s a good thing; Penn State takes Halloweekend very, very seriously.
