Uber, Lyft To Offer Discounted Rides To The Polls On Election Day

The car-sharing services Uber and Lyft are offering free and discounted rides on Election Day to ensure every Pennsylvania voter can make it to the polls. The promotion figures to be especially helpful for students and professors who attend Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses as well as those possibly affected by the SEPTA Strike.

Uber and Lyft users can receive their discount once they enter the promo code “VOTEPA.” Depending how far you have to travel, the ride may not actually be free; the promo code gives users a $15 discount on their ride to the polls and a $15 discount on their ride back home.

The service is available to everyone, no matter who they plan on voting for. More information on the promotion can be found here on the “My Ride To Vote” website.
