Jon Bellion Electrifies Alumni Hall

Electric/Pop/Rap artist Jon Bellion performed Friday night in Happy Valley, thanks to SPA LateNight. Students lined up from Alumni Hall through the HUB all the way to the book store, so needless to say, the crowd was fired up and erupting with We Are chants before Bellion even walked on stage — Bellion fed off the energy throughout his performance.

Bellion performed mostly from his album The Human Condition, which was released in June. He opened the set with “He Is The Same” before students along to hit single “All Time Low.” Two more crowd favorites were “Guillotine” and “80’s Films.”

Bellion took advantage of the atmosphere and even started his own We Are chant at one point.

Although the 12-song performance lasted less than an hour, the energy level lasted throughout and peaked during Bellion’s final song, “Jim Morrison.” The beat dropped over and over again before he left the stage.

Ultimately, Bellion put on a unique performance that showed off his talents as a live performer. This singer/songwriter/producer proved he’s more than just a pop artist — a true musician.
