Feel Like The Superstar That You Are with #PSUDining

Lights, camera, ACTION! You are all cordially invited to be the spotlight of the night at our first special themed dinner of the spring semester: our Red Carpet dinner. All dining commons will be transformed from your typical college dining hall to a glamorous Hollywood themed venue on Wednesday, February 22.

Get ready to feel like the superstar that you are and expect a night to remember filled with paparazzi following you around and an elegant buffet-style cuisine. As guest arrive, we encourage them to make a toast to the night with either a glass of fruity mock sangria or a glass of sparkling white grape juice. Additionally, a bread and dip bar will be filled with seedless grapes, assorted smoked cheeses, hummus and best of all: crab dip!

As part of your five-star dinner, you will have a choice of selecting either a lobster and corn chowder soup or a butternut squash soup. Not a soup person? Not a problem, there will be a fresh citrus marinated shrimp salad served all night long.

Now, for the most important part of the night: ENTREES! There are four exquisite selections that attendees can enjoy including: a deliciously prepared garlic and rosemary beef strip loin with shiitake mushroom sauce; Thai peanut and popcorn crusted chicken; crab cakes with horseradish dill sauce; and grilled cauliflower steak with caper tomato basil relish. Make sure to leave room on your tray for a side of three cheese scalloped potatoes or roasted beets and fresh grilled asparagus with green peppercorn vinaigrette. Lastly, end the luxurious night with a sweet dessert choice of either assorted macaroons or a shooter cup with a star garnish.

After feasting like the queen or king that you are, continue your Hollywood journey by taking a selfie with our illuminated Hollywood sign or taking a trip to the photo booth to capture some Penn State Dining memories. Also, follow us on Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter @pennstatedinning to get the chance to see exclusive behind-the-scene footage and updates! Penn State Campus Residential Dining is thrilled to host an event that will let student experience a night in Hollywood. We hope to see all you Penn State superstars there!

Dinner hours for the Red Carpet dinner vary upon location. Typically, dinner is served between. 5 p.m. to 8.p.m. but for more information on campus dining hours, please visit: http://foodservices.psu.edu/residential-dining-hours-spring-2017
